Every now and then, due to too many failed password attempts, a user will get locked out of the system. Rather than contacting Utility Support and having to wait, we give your Super Admin users the ability to make the user active again so they can get back in right away. To re-activate a user:

  1. Log in to your system with a user who has Super Admin permissions.
  2. In the top menu bar on the right-hand side, there is a menu option called ‘Admin’.
  3. You can either:
    • Hover over ‘Admin’ which will show you a dropdown menu and from this dropdown click ‘Users’
    • Click ‘Admin’ and a left side menu will appear, and you can click “Users” from here
  4. Click the ‘Inactive Tab’
  5. Type the name of the user you wish to re-activate into the ‘User Name’ input box
  6. Click ‘Search’
  7. Click ‘Select Action’
  8. Click ‘Edit’
  9. Tick the ‘Is Active’ checkbox
  10. Click Save
  11. The User will now be able to log back in with their details. If they have forgotten their password and this is why they got locked out in the first place, please see our ‘Resetting a user password’ course.
