Creating A New Activity

Learn how to create a new activity.

  1. Open your Customer and select ‘Activities’ within the menu on the left
  2. Here you can view any overdue, current or completed activities for your customer.
    Overdue – this is a list of activities that are past their due date
    Today – a list of activities due today
    This Week – this is a list of activities due this week
    Outstanding – here you can find activities that haven’t been completed yet
    Completed – this is a list of all activities that have been completed
  3. There are several ways to create a new activity for your customer within the system. Here within the activities section, you can select ‘New Activity’ but you can also create an activity by selecting ‘New Activity’ under the Go button in the actions column against any Site, meter, contract, Tender or contact.
  4. Once you have clicked ‘New Activity’, the form will open
    Mandatory fields are:
    Assigned to – who should this activity be assigned to?
    Customer – pre-filled to the customer who is assigning the activity
    Activity Type –
    Task – What does this activity relate to?
    Subject – Give your activity a meaningful title
    Due Date – this determine which tab the activity will be visible under for the assignee, be aware that putting it too far in the future might mean that they don’t see it until it’s due
  5. The activity task type will always default to ‘Task’. Changing this accordingly to call, meeting or email if appropriate will help you manage the activities later on.
  6. You can add other useful information such as reference notes, and attachments too
