# What is the Contract Signatory box for?

The Contract Signatory tickbox within the Customer setup page, identifies a Child Company that is part of a parent-child relationship but responsible for their own contracts.

If the box is *unticked*then the contract is signed at Parent level and the children will use the parent's LOA for tenders.
If the box is *ticked*and the customer is in a parent-child Tender then the parent is NOT responsible for signing contracts for those sites, and the system will add a signatory LOA into tender e-mails.
